This week’s Adventures at Home topic is looking at establishing routines and exploring how this can promote a feeling of security and confidence in your child. We have a Talktime Video with advice and information about the benefits of establishing routines. We also have some activity ideas, showing how making up your own songs or using visual prompts can be a fun way to help build familiarity with daily tasks for your child.

This week’s social media topic, continuing our ‘Adventures at Home’ series, is all about encouraging your child to try new things.
We have a Talktime video focussing on food, with some excellent advice about how to encourage your little ones to try new foods. We also have an activity idea, of creating an ‘I can’ can, so your child can take pride in recording their new achievements - giving them confidence and increasing their motivation to try new things. Finally, we show the importance of dress rehearsals, showing that letting your child practice what will happen in a new situation will help to put them at ease.
