This week’s focus is all about counting!

Children begin to understand how to use numbers when they hear them being used to count different objects every day; such as five cars, two dolls, four socks, one cup, five fingers.

Encouraging your child to point to, touch, hold and move objects when you count together will help them to develop the understanding that they need to be able to count.

Have a Teddy bear’s picnic! Encourage your child to give each bear one cup, one plate and one spoon, and count out the food you put onto each plate.
