On the Beechwood estate, you can visit
the Little Centrewhere there's a café, activities and lovely outdoor play area.

Koala North West (previously Home-Start Wirral) have a soft play and sensory room, parents lounge and sheltered garden and offer lots of support to families, including for children with complex needs, with sleep, breastfeeding and stay and play groups.

Birkenhead Park

Find out here about free summer holiday activities across Wirral, for families eligible for free school meals. There are over 100 holiday clubs over the summer, all adhering to government guidelines on Covid-19 safety.

Neo Community, based in the Beaconsfield Community House, Tranmere, have an excellent café and community food market to help prevent food insecurity in our local area. They also run free Summer holiday activities. 

At Tam O'Shanter's Urban Farm you can see a variety of animals and learn about nature and our local environment, with free entry and a great outdoor play area and cafe.  NB at time of writing 24 July 2020, the Farm is closed, but we hope will soon re-open - do check before visiting

Don't forget CBeebies for games and early years activities, or explore some simple play ideas at BBC Tiny Happy People.

The Hungry Little Minds website also has lots of great ideas for having fun with your little ones while promoting their early development

Finally, your local library is a great place to go on a rainy day, for children's books, story groups and events.

CBeebies for Grown-Ups has tips and advice on how to support your child with issues such as online safety or managing their feelings. 

Creating Careers have a great facebook page offering advice on wellbeing and resilience, as well as employability skills workshops. 

There’s also the Health Visiting Hub for useful early years support and information, and at Change4Life you can find great recipes and exercises to help your family stay healthy.

Have you applied for your free Bookstart pack for children aged 0-12 months or 3-4 years? There's also interactive story books and book lists and lots of activities.

Domestic violence is an issue that affects one in four women, and is a cause championed by our Patron, HRH Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. If you or anyone you know has been affected there is a great course locally called Leapfrog, which supports mothers and children and is offered by Involve Northwest.  

Tomorrows Women Wirral is a fantastic local organisation that provide lots of free courses to support women in making positive changes, especially those who have suffered with domestic violence, substance misuse or mental health issues.
